Padi assistant instructor (AI) As a PADI Assistant Instructor, you will gain experience as a PADI professional, enabling you to act as an instructional assistant with actual teaching responsibilities. The course is the first step into gaining experience, which leads you into the Padi Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI) Course.
The Assistant Instructor portion is the 1st component of the    PADI    Instructor    Development    Course    and    builds    upon    Divemaster training. The Assistant Instructor   course   is   a   4-day   program   that   introduces   you   to   the   role   of   an instructional assistant,   both   in   academic   teaching   and   in   confined   &   open   water   training. Course Prerequisites  PADI    Divemaster    or    qualifying    certification    from    another    training organization Been a certified diver for at least 6 months PADI diver’s medical signed by a physician within the last 12 months Minimum 60 logged dives EFR Primary and Secondary Care (or equivalent) within 24 months proof of experience in night, deep and navigation diving Pre-study course manuals and dive theory Have good personal diving and buoyancy skills Minimum age 18 years
