Padi e-Learning and touch programs
It
used
to
be
the
case
that
in
order
to
take
a
PADI
Course
during
your
holiday,
you
would
have
to
spend
your
evenings
working
your
way
through
the
study
materials.
Not
a
great
use of your precious time away from home…
Learning to dive has never been more convenient!
PADI
have
created
two
different
solutions
to
this
problem:
‘eLearning’
and
‘Touch’.
Two
innovative
new
programs
designed
to
make
your
Scubaworld
PADI
diving
course
training
easier,
more
efficient
and
saves
you
valuable
Costa
Blanca diving time during your vacation.
I
PADI eLearning
PADI
eLearning
is
a
virtual
classroom
–
Once
you
sign
up
you
will
be
able
to
access
the
study
materials
for
your
chosen
course
so
that
you
can
work
through
the
Knowledge
Development
portion
of
the
course
in
your
own
time,
anywhere where you have access to an internet connection.
The
course
content
will
be
read
out
to
you,
and
you
will
complete
the
Knowledge
Reviews
and
Final
exam
as
you
go
along.
Once
you
have
completed
all
of
the
independent
study
you
will
be
presented
with
an
eRecord
documenting
your
progress.
Print
off
your
eRecord
and
bring
it
to
the
dive
centre.
Before
starting
with
the
in-water
training
a
quick
review must be completed at the dive centre.
PADI Touch
PADI
Touch
an
interactive
manual
–
it
is
downloaded
to
your
device,
and
you
work
through
it
in
much
the
same
way
as
you
would
with
a
paper
manual.
You
do
not
need
to
be
connected
to
the
internet
to
use
Touch
(although
you
do
need
an
internet
connection
to
download
it
initially,
of
course).
Touch
also
includes
the
videos
which
would
traditionally have been viewed in the dive centre.
The
knowledge
reviews
and
the
exam
can
be
completed
through
Touch
if
you
do
connect
to
the
internet,
otherwise
they
can
be
completed
at
the
dive
centre.
A
quick
review
must
be
completed
at
the
dive
centre.
The
Touch
manual
will
always
be
accessible
for
review
in
the
future,
and
will
automatically
be
updated
as
the
course
content
gets
renewed.
You
can
download
Touch
through
the
PADI
Library
app,
which
is available in the Apple Store or Google Play.

the
PADI

course.
The
next
step
is
to
create
your
own
registration
page
where
you
can
create
a
"My
PADI
account"
by
choosing
a
user
name
and
password.
The
option
of
clicking
through
a
short
PADI
eLearning demonstration is available.
After
registering,
PADI
eLearners
receive
a
"welcome"
email
and
at
the
same
time
we
at
Scubaworld
(as
your
chosen
Dive
Center)
receive
an
alert
email
informing
of
your
enrolment
into
the
PADI
eLearning
program
as
a
new
PADI
eLearning
on-
line student diver.
After
completing
the
PADI
eLearning
on-line
training
you'll
receive
a
"congratulations"
email
and
a
print
out
of
your
PADI
eLearning
Record
indicating
your
completion
of
knowledge
development.
Scubaworld
also
receives
an
alert
email
about
your PADI eLearning training completion.
For
the
extra
service
to
be
able
to
study
online
a
part
of
the
courses
PADI
charge
you
an
certain
fee.
For
this
fee
you
can
access
the
online
knowledge
development
program
for
one
year,
plus
have
unlimited
internet
access
to
the
always
updated
PADI
Open

Diver
Manual
online.
Scubaworld
Dive
Center
charges
an
additional
fee
for
the
in-water
portion
of
your
certification.
This
fee
covers
all
of
your
pool
sessions,
rental
equipment,
open

dives
(insurance*)
and
certification
card.
We
from
Scubaworld
will
give
you
a

on

If
you
prefer
to
do
the
Academic
part
of
the
course
with
a
course
manual
in
paper
form
plus
course
DVD
you
can
also
choose
for
the
normal
version
of
the
course
.
Our
recommendation
is
that
we
send
over
the
study
materials
so
you
can
prepare
with
book
and
DVD
in
advanced
before
you
come
to
Spain.
This
way
you
can
also
study
in
your
own
pace.
The
only
difference
is
that
we
examine
the
knowledge
reviews
and
do
the
exams
over
here
instead
of
online.
Just
send
us
an
email for more details.
Which
way
you
choose
to
follow
your
course
we
at
Scubaworld
would
be
glad
to
help
you
to
