Boat Diver Specialty Course Whether   you’ve   never   made   a   boat   dive   or   you’ve   logged   dozens,   the   PADI Boat   Diver   Specialty   course   can   benefit   almost   every   diver   because   different boats in different parts of the world do things differently.
Scuba   diving   from   a   boat    is   fun,   especially   when   you   look   at   ease   when manoeuvring   around   on   it.   It’s   fun   to   know   what   you’re   doing.   Diving   from   a boat   shows   you   new   things   because   the   boat   gets   you   on   dive   sites   you could   never   reach   direct   from   shore.   The   more   boats   you're   diving   from,   the more diving you're doing.
During   this   course   you'll   learn   the   tips,   tricks   and   ways   to   dive   from   boats ranging   from   small   inflatables   to   giant   live-aboards.   How   they   differ   from place   to   place.   Gain   experience   and   training   from   diving   on   boats   in   your local   area.   Safely   enter   and   exit   the   water.   (Sometimes   it’s   better   to   hand your   gear   up   to   the   crew   and   then   climb   in   the   boat.   Sometimes   you   just take off your fins and weights and walk up the ladder.
Through    the    PADI    Boat    Diver    Specialty    course     you    can    learn    the techniques   and   procedures   for   diving   from   different   types   of   boats.   During the course you'll learn about Boat   diving   planning,   organization,   procedures,   techniques,   problems   and hazards.   Correct   boat   diving   etiquette,   including   knowing   to   stow   your   gear in   the   most   appropriate   areas.   Common   boat   terminology.   Specific   and   local boat    diving    laws    and    ordinances.    Overview    of    emergency    and    safety equipment   needed   on-   private   dive   boats   and   finding   out   where   to   locate these safety equipment
Course Content The course consists of a knowledge development session & 2 Open water dives which will cover: Planning, organization, procedures, techniques, problems and hazards of boat diving Boat diving entries/exits and use of emergency/safety equipment Correct boat etiquette, personal conduct, basic dive boat terminology & local boat diving laws
Knowledge Development Knowledge   development   is   based   on   a   self-study   method,   allowing   you   to study   in   your   own   time,   at   your   own   pace.   Home   study   is   backed   up   by   an academic   session   with   a   PADI   Instructor,   to   ensure   full   understanding   of boat diving theory
Prerequisites: PADI Open Water Diver certification (or equivalent certification) Minimum age: 10 years old
Open Water Dives Students    will    complete    2    Open    Water    dives    from    a    boat    here,    in    the Mediterranean   on   the   Costa   Blanca   over   one   day,   to   certify   as   a   PADI   Boat Diver.   During   these   dives   you   will   choose   appropriate   entry/exit   methods, locate safety equipment and identify specific parts of the boat.
Get five specialty ratings including Padi deep diver specialty and Padi navigation diver specialty and you're on your way to becoming a PADI Master Scuba Diver.
